Landsedge reflects the rhythms of the tide and the power of bodies of water in perpetual
motion. Like a steady inhalation and exhalation, the shoreline is shaped by cycles of ebb and
flood; waves enfold cliffs, rocks and beaches only to reveal transformed landscapes hours
later. Ripples inscribed in sand, tidal markings and marine life emerge briefly before
disappearing again beneath the returning tide. Informed by the Rockpool bowls, this
collaboration captures the essence of F!NK’s celebrated vessels with my ongoing
exploration of surface through mark making. In Landsedge, fleeting moments are translated
into enduring impressions, creating a dialogue between permanence and change through
form, texture, material and movement. Central to the work is a celebration of Robbie’s
curiosity and deep connection to the elements, a shared interest that I have experienced
more deeply since living by the Kanamaluka | River Tamar in Lutruwita Tasmania.

In Landsedge, transient moments are held in material form, inviting contemplation of the
shifting boundary between land and water, and the beauty found within its continual change.
This work would not have been possible without the generosity and help from Gretel and the
F!NK team, giving me opportunities to access workshop tools and equipment as well as
insights into Robbie’s press forging process.
Huge thanks
