Biography

Jane Aliendi lives in Tathra on the Far South Coast of NSW.

Influenced by early modernists like Cossington Smith, Wakeling, de Maistre and Seurat she explores how the mark made by a brush and oil paint can create from and represent light. She aims to capture how colour can create an image that is both vibrant and static and plays with ideas of what is obvious and hidden in our everyday lives.
